Finally, after so long I finished it! Please excuse my poor skills of taking pictures.
14 x 17 inches 0.7 HB mech pencil, graphite powder. Around 50 hours.
I started this one 4 months ago, put it aside for about 3 months because I needed a break from drawing machinaries. Drawing Optimus Prime was such a challenge and new experience to me. I had a fun time doing little tiny details and not having to worry about the smoothness of the texture. But overall every part of this drawing annoyed the hell out of me. The background alone took me at least 7 hours to finish.
I'd like to thank everyone for sticking around with me during the WIPs, without your support I would have never found the motivation to come back the get this drawing done. This becomes my first pencil drawing of 2008.
*Gasps* Wow that is so freaking amazing, he actually looks as if he's going to jump off the page and punch me in the face haha. It looks really awesome, the detail in it is just so surreal as always.

You should do a vintage Optimus to go with it. I like the vintage Optimus. They should have stuck with him. I loved the new movie, but I wish they would have used more of the vintage transforming sounds rather than the whirr and clank of the new sounds.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
